Archdiocesan Commission of Black Catholics

A Day of Reflection

In preparation for Congress of the National Black Catholic Congress, the Commission of Black
Catholics sponsors a Day of Reflection every year. The eight principles of the National Black
Catholic Congress are Africa, Catholic Education, HIV & AIDS, Parish Life, Racism, Social
Justice, Spirituality and Youth and Young Adults, a new Youth and Young Adult track, and a
special Eucharistic Congress.

The Day of Reflection began as a day set aside to focus on values and ethical issues of
importance for the nation, and the world. This is a time of working together, setting courses of
action and direction, teaching, preaching, and gaining spiritual enrichment, as we take a closer
look at the giftedness of the Sacraments and how they speak to our lives today.

For more information, please contact Commission of Black Catholics at 651-291-4495 or email
